Dream Museum

About the Dream Museum: What if evolution were your own choice? Dream Museum is a family of giant, colourful inflatable creatures, each half human, half something else, each with a superpower. You climb inside, lie back, and a voice guides you into a lucid dream. Meet the Octopus: it has a mini-brain in each arm, tastes with its skin, changes colour with its mood and regrows lost limbs. What if you could do that too? The Octopus and its sister, the space-proof Tardigrade, are the first two of 42 beings. The rest are still dreaming themselves into existence.

Oona Frost is an artist who is also an artwork: a fictional persona that keeps changing shape. Based in Amsterdam, she makes inflatables, textile collages and immersive installations about where humans might evolve next, mixing neuroscience and biohacking with handmade, recycled materials. Dream Museum has been shown in Amsterdam and New York. In 2026 it has been showt at Big Art Rotterdam and at the European Cultural Centre at Palazzo Mora, Venice, during the Biennale (9 May – 22 November).
