Event Policy Guidelines

To ensure that our platform remains safe, educational, and acceptable for a wide audience, we adhere to the following policy guidelines for events:

General Guidelines

  1. Relevance: All events must be directly related to the themes supported by Hipsy, such as spirituality, personal development, social connections, and awareness.

  2. Safe Space: Events must provide a safe and respectful environment for all participants.

  3. No Illegal Activities: No event may promote or facilitate illegal activities.

  4. Respect for Cultures: Events must respectfully engage with the cultural origins of practices and traditions being shared.

  5. Respectful Content: Content must be respectful and appropriate for a wide audience.

Themes around Tantra and Sexuality

  1. Safe Space: All events related to tantra and sexuality must provide a safe space where respect and consent are central.

  2. Qualified Teachers: Organizers and teachers must be qualified, with no history of abuse or a bad reputation. Background checks and references may be required.

  3. No Nudity: Images and promotions of events may not contain nudity. Content must not be explicitly sexual.

  4. Educational Purpose: Events must focus on education and personal development within the context of tantra and sexuality.

  5. No Events for Pure Pleasure and Entertainment: Events solely focused on fun, pleasure, and entertainment such as sex parties and sex shows are not allowed. The focus must always be on education, self-discovery, and personal development. Examples of prohibited events include: BDSM gatherings, sex parties, erotic dance parties, or orgies.

Themes around Plant Medicines

  1. Prohibited Substances: It is not allowed to host or promote events where illegal or regulated substances are offered, provided, or consumed, as defined by the legislation of the country where the event takes place. This includes, but is not limited to, ayahuasca and psilocybin.

  2. Legal Substances: Events where plant medicines are offered may only contain legal substances.

  3. Responsible Use: Emphasis must be placed on responsible and conscious use of plant medicines. Education about the risks and benefits must be available.

  4. Experienced Guides: Events must be led by experienced and qualified professionals who are well-informed about the effects and risks of the substances used.

Enforcement and Oversight

  1. Complaint Procedure: Hipsy will implement a complaint procedure for participants to report misconduct or concerns.

  2. Sanctions: Non-compliance with these policy guidelines may result in the removal of events from the platform and the blocking of organizers.
