Ember of the Heart: Creative Writing to Spark the Soul ❤️🔥
A Winter Online Workshop Series guided by Jeska Onderwater
This winter, you are warmly invited into a creative, quiet space -
a space where your writing becomes a doorway,
for your soul to light its creative spark 🕯️
Ember of the Heart is a three-part creative writing series designed to help you listen beneath the noise, settle into stillness, and meet what arises from the depths of your inner silence. Together we’ll explore how writing can become a direct conversation with the soul, a way of tending the embers of creativity that so easily dim in times of busyness and distraction.
This offering is inspired by my time in silent retreat this year, where we practiced the Sufi meditation of blowing upon the ember of the heart: a gentle awakening of the inner fire that nourishes clarity, imagination, and presence. In these sessions we will weave this contemplative practice with intuitive writing, creating a sanctuary where your creativity can be rekindled.
Each session stands on its own, yet together they form a journey:
Building the Fire 🪵 28 December, 16:00–18:00 CEST
Gathering the kindling, the wood, the inspiration to light our creative spark. This session will be a collective soul experience where we we receive inspiration from each other to open our creative channel. Bring your favorite poem or text with you to share.
Feeding the Flames 🔥 04 January, 16:00–18:00 CEST
Embodying the souls wisdom, feeding the flames of our creativity. In this session we will use intuitive movement to spark our writing. We will ground deeper into the body through dance & breath and let our writing flow from our physical experience. Book this session separately here:

Blowing Upon the Ember of the Heart ❤️🔥 11 January, 10:30–12:30 CEST
Descending into the chambers of the heart, blowing upon the ember, listening in stillness to what the glowing warmth within tells us. In this session we will use meditation and storytelling as a doorway to our soul's expression. Book this session separately here:

Exchange*:
– €40 per individual session
– or €111 for the full series
Sessions will be held in English via Zoom. You will receive all details by e-mail one day before each session. Sessions will not be recorded to ensure privacy and the magic of active participation.
