Wajid is een ontmoetingsplek voor mensen geïnteresseerd in bewustwording.
Stichting Wajid Osho Meditatie Centrum bestaat sinds 20-12-1983.
Doelstelling van de stichting is:
"[....] het bevorderen van persoonlijke groei en bewustzijnsverdieping, waarbij gebruik gemaakt wordt van diverse stromingen in de humanistische psychologie en wegen tot zelfkennis en zelfontplooiing gebaseerd op de meditatietechnieken zoals ondermeer ontwikkeld door de mysticus Osho".
De Indiase mysticus Osho (11-12-1931 / 19-01-1990) is onze inspiratiebron. De naam Wajid betekent vurig verlangen, 'intense yearning for god, for being fulfilled, contented'.
Stichting Wajid kan bestaan dankzij de financieel belangeloze inzet van een wisselend aantal vrijwillige medewerkers die zowel voor als achter de schermen het daartoe benodigde werk verzetten. Vrijwillige medewerkers van het Wajid team zijn zowel bewoners van Wajid als elders wonenden.
