If your organization is not based in the Netherlands, the handling of service fees and VAT we charge works a bit differently. In this case, it is determined whether you are a private individual or a business.
For businesses
For businesses that are VAT liable and have a VAT identification number, we apply the VAT reverse charge on the service fees we charge. The service fees are exclusive of VAT in this case.
For private individuals
For private individuals, we charge VAT on the service fees. The service fee of 0.80 euros added to the ticket price is always inclusive of VAT. The VAT rate is determined based on the country where the event takes place. We then remit the VAT in that country.
