About this event
How can we, as fathers (or fathers-to-be), thrive and feel empowered to support our loved ones?
Becoming a father is a profoundly life-changing experience, bringing immense joy and a renewed sense of meaning, and also new challenges and responsibilities. As our lives shift towards being more fully in service of our loved ones, it can be hard at times to keep a strong connection with our inner world, our partners, and our communities.
The Fatherhood Circle provides an opportunity to connect with other fathers and hold space for each other in an openhearted and non-judgmental way. Communicating authentically and listening deeply, we share the joys, the discoveries, and the challenges of our journeys. Together, we explore and nourish our inner world to become more fully present, loving, and aware.
Each meeting opens with a brief guided meditation to land and tune in. After that, we go around the circle, with one person sharing about what's going on for them in the moment and the rest of the group listening mindfully. Every person is invited to share authentically what’s going on for them, speaking from the heart and cultivating a space of safety and inclusion. Depending on what comes up during the circle, we can also engage in embodied practices to attune to our bodies, feelings, and to each other. Finally, we round off with a brief round of reflections.
Everyone is welcome - whether you already are a father, about to become one, or simply wondering whether to embark on this wonderful journey.
