About this event
Movement & Mindfulness is a workshop of connection and care. A time and place for you to relax and find a moment of rest during a busy week. You’ll get to explore all the ways in which you can move with your body, both by yourself and in relation to others.
The workshop includes games, exercises and contact improvisation sessions. There are no phrases or choreographies, instead, loose conceptual frameworks are provided in which you decide how and how much you want to move.
Movement & Mindfulness offers you the possibility to connect more deeply with your sense of self and to your emotions as well as gives you some tools to express them through movement. 🌌🍃💗

⏰ 19:00 - 21:30 // Doors open at 18:30
🍲 The workshop will be around 2 hours, afterwards we will share some snacks & tea. So ideally please already eat something before since the time for potluck snacks might be a bit too late for dinner.

What to wear? 👚
Wear loose-fitting & comfortable clothes and come as your most curious self. Since we won't need shoes, you can be barefoot or with your comfy socks (ideally grip socks to avoid slipping).
What to bring? 🍲
After the workshop, we will still have the place for ourselves so please feel free to bring a vegan or vegetarian potluck snack to share with others after the workshop!
About Alberto (Albi) ✨
Albi (he/ him) is a contemporary dancer, all-around performer, dance teacher & movement director with a background in Contemporary and Urban Dance. After completing the Modern Theatre Dance Bachelor at the Amsterdam University of the Arts as a co-creative dancer, he obtained a Master’s degree in Cultural Economics and Entrepreneurship at Erasmus University in Rotterdam. He now o.a. works at The National Theatre as an Assistant Programmer.
Albi’s classes are characterized by learning to find more peace and content within oneself. In a (movement) world that continuously strives for success and perfection, he likes to create safe spaces that acknowledge and accept our imperfections and vulnerabilities. Fun, depth, support as well as learning from and listening to each other are key elements of his Movement & Mindfulness sessions.
