About this event

Move your Inner Body

Programma:
1) Opening: Staande meditatie (zhanzhuang)
2) Baduanjin (Acht Brokaten):
4) Afronding: Staande meditatie (zhanzhuang)

English:

The winter season is the time for silence, to retreat inward and preserve energy to blossom again in spring. Water is the element/phase linked to winter and the most Yin of the 5 elements/phases. This season therefore is all about balancing the retreating, outward-moving Yangqi, with the more dominant and inward-moving Yinqi. We will focus mainly on the organs linked to the water element/phase (kidney and bladder) and other Yin organs. For this reason, I have selected a series of stilling and softening exercises from the Baduanjin or ‘Eight Brocates’ and Wudang Qigong set, to soften the Yang and strengthen the Yin.
Both sets aim to open up body and mind to allow Qi flow freely and prevent physical and mental ailments. We will do this mindfully and silently in connection with each other.

Programme:
1) Opening: Standing meditation (zhanzhuang)
2) Baduanjin (Eight Brocates):
- Uphold the sky with both hands to regulate the triple burners (Liangshou tuotian li sanjiao)
- Fight the 5 fatigues and 7 wounds by looking back (Wulao qishang wang houqiao)
- Climb your feet with both hands to stabilize kidneys and waist (Liangshou panzu gu shenyao)
- Shock your backside 7 times to cure 100 diseases (Beihou qidian baibing xiao)
3) Wudang Qigong:
- The cock calls and starts dancing (Jiming Qiwu)
- The great goose spreads its wings (Dayan Zhanchi)
4) Closing: Standing meditation (zhanzhuang)
5) Sharing: with a warm cup of tea

Over David Pho
Stilte in beweging is mijn levensmotto.
