About this event

You're invited to join me Monday evenings for a deeply relaxing and restorative session of pranayama and yoga nidra (guided meditation) in the comfort of your own home. This soothing experience is designed to help you release tension from the body and the mind so you can cultivate greater poise and resilience.
We begin our evening together with a brief welcome and introduction followed by light stretching if requested, then a pranayama practice. These early moments help to shed surface tension in the body and mind, settle and regulate the nervous system so you can go very deep into relaxation during the guided meditation.
Following the meditation, I close the session out with gratitude and end the zoom call.

The goal of the practice is to remain awake, somewhere on the edge between sleep and awakeness. However, some do fall asleep, which is merely a sign that your body needs that deeper rest.

**If you like, you may request at the beginning of the session that I make sure you are awake before I close the zoom:)
***Your zoom link for the event will be sent by a hipsy mail on the day of the event. If you purchase a duo ticket, you can share the link with your friend.

About Yoga Nidra
Yoga Nidra is a systematic method of inducing complete physical, mental and emotional relaxation. Derived from an ancient tantric tradition, students learn to reach a state of dynamic sleep. During the practice, one appears to be asleep, but the consciousness is functioning at a deeper level of awareness. Students lie down or sit comfortably in a chair and are led through a guided meditation by the practitioner. A regular practice of Yoga Nidra has shown to improve sleep, reduce stress, increase productivity and lower blood pressure and inflammation in the body. One hour of Yoga Nidra is equivalent to 4 hours of deep, restful sleep. The American Neuroscientist Andrew Huberman attests to the cognitive benefits of Yoga Nidra and coined the term "Near Sleep Deep Rest."
