About this event

Join us for a 3-hour Beginner Bootcamp where we’ll explore the essential foundations of Brazilian Zouk!

This bootcamp is part of our Beginner Series. You’re very welcome whether you attended the October bootcamp or have never danced Zouk before. We’ll briefly recap the basics from the first bootcamp, moving through them a little faster, so we have more time to explore new movements and deepen your understanding. If you’re unsure whether the pace will work for you, feel free to contact Xanne beforehand.

✨ What is Brazilian Zouk?
Brazilian Zouk is a partner dance that originated in Brazil. It’s known for its flowing movements, playful connection, body movement and musicality. You’ll learn to move together with your partner while exploring rhythm, weight shifts, turns and the characteristic waves and curves of Zouk.

💫 In this bootcamp, we’ll explore:
• The basic steps and foundations of Brazilian Zouk
• Playing with foundational movements
• Connection and the principles of leading and following
• Flow and body movement in Zouk
• Musicality and moving together with the music
