This course is dedicated to parents, educators, psychologists, and anyone who spends time with children.
THURSDAY EVENINGS WITH MARIJE:
11-session course: 28 January – 15 April 2026, 18:30–21:30 (no session on 25 February)
→ The courses will be held online using Zoom. Sessions will be recorded and will be available for participants to view (not to download) until 3 weeks after the course is over.
NONVIOLENT COMMUNICATION (NVC)
NVC is a simple, powerful and practical tool that helps us to see clearly what blocks our communication, and what we can do differently to manifest and live our deepest values with children.
NVC shows us ways to create sustainable connection and cooperation based on intrinsic motivation from both sides.
WE WILL FOCUS ON THE FOLLOWING SKILLS
❀ How to transform anger into connection from both sides
❀ How to transform conflict into dialogues with understanding and connection
❀ Empathic listening- how to hear what your children are REALLY trying to say, no matter how they express it
❀ Self-care while caring for our child(ren)/family – how to deeply listen to ourselves, to the depth of what is important to us, and how to communicate that in a way that fosters compassion and cooperation
❀ Stand clearly for our boundaries without using threats or punishments – how to move from being a policeman/woman into just being humans together
❀ How to create peaceful dialogues that include and connect us all
❀ And much more…
LEARNING STYLE
You will be invited to work on examples from your own life in an interactive and safe learning environment. We will practice Nonviolent Communication through demonstrations, role-play and exercises in order to integrate NVC values and language more into our daily lives.
The way we teach is: 30% Theory and 70% of Practice/Demonstration/Learning from LIVE situations that are happening in the here and now. Our focus is very much on the Embodied aspect of ‘Nonviolent Communication’, so be ready to dive.
→ The course provides a child-free learning environment to honor many students’ needs for focus, concentration, relaxation and learning.
EXTRA SUPPORT
Assistants: We will have assistants accompanying us during this course. They’ve already completed the Basic, Intermediate and Year Courses with us and some are engaged in their steps toward teaching/sharing NVC.

NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS IN THE COURSE
The max number of participants for the course is 25.
FEE
For this 11 session course, the fee is a choice of between €295-€590 (choice is depending on your income and free will).
→ The choice of fees depends on your income and free will. The idea behind a sliding scale is that we all have different current financial situations, and we like to be flexible so that your financial contribution fits your financial situation as well as your personal wish to support us.
→ When paid by a business, it is the highest fee on the scale
→ Invoices are Vrijgesteld (VAT free).
MATERIALS PROVIDED
At the end of each session, you will receive:
– A written summary of the session
– A Zoom recording of the session to view (not for download), available until 3 weeks after the course is over.
There is no required reading before the course. There are many books on NVC available, if you’d like some suggestions on where to start you’re welcome to contact us. You’ll receive a summary handout by email at the end of each session.
