About this event

Programma:
1) Opening: Staande meditatie (zhanzhuang)
2) Baduanjin (Acht Brokaten):

English:
After a busy summer, we will process strong movements and impressions gathered in our body by practising calming and regulating exercises together. These exercises have been selected from a Baduanjin or de ‘Eight Brocates’ set, which is a form of conscious stretching based on taoist Daoyin-principles. Daoyin (short for Dao Qi Yin Ti) can translated as: steering our life force Qi and guiding the body.
The exercises aim to create more space in specific meridians (Qi-flow areas) and parts of our (energy)body. Opening body and mind is imperative to allow Qi flow freely and prevent physical and mental ailments. Above all, we will deeply connect with our (energy)body mindfully and silently in connection with each other.

Programme:
1) Opening: Standing meditation (zhanzhuang)
2) Baduanjin (Eight Brocates):
- Uphold the sky with both hands to regulate the triple burners (Liangshou tuotian li sanjiao)
- Raise one arm to regulate spleen and stomach (Tiaoli piwei bi danju)
- Shake head and tail to cool the heart fire (Yaotou baiwei qu xinhuo)
- Shock your backside 7 times to cure 100 diseases (Beihou qidian baibing xiao)
3) Pushing hands: Feel your own centre and the centre of the other person
4) Closing: with a warm cup of tea and sharing

Over David Pho
Stilte in beweging is mijn levensmotto.
