Octopus Voice Lab

About this event

A workshop and lab to explore individual and collective improvisation, with movement and voice.

This space is for:

- Letting go of your expectations, your “knowledge”, and allowing yourself to dive deep into the present moment, the connection with yourself and with others.
- Unleashing your creativity through the power of creative void and cross-listening.
- Allowing things to move through you, and becoming the vessel for deeper message, deeper meaning, without intellectualization.
- Coming back to your wilder self, and finding community in doing so.
- Play, fluidity and exploration.
- Deep, body-felt, heart-felt connection.

This space isn’t for:

- Trying to perform or play a role.
- Therapy.
- Creating a fixed form or fixed roles.
- Overstepping boundaries (yours or others’).

Testimonials:
"A blend of voice and body... I'm generally not comfortable with my voice, and in this workshop I explored many tools that will be useful to me later. It's amazing to feel your own voice and hear others'. I find this connection quite moving. Give it a try! You have to take the leap and trust Aurélie." Didier, participant in the Octopus Lab in Paris

About your facilitator:
Aurélie Hartmann went into music when she was 6 years old, and never looked back. She is now a singer-songwriter, author and improviser. Dance and movement have always been a big part of her life. After years of ballet and classical violin, she started exploring improvisation and composition in both movement and voice. She discovered Contact Improv in 2015.
