A Gathering of Men Around the Fire

About this event

This is a call to the Brothers!

Around the Fire… from time immemorial the place where Men found solace and protection, warmth and support. The place where they tell their stories, their tales, their myths, their selves. Also the place to let go of the old, to burn what is no longer supporting us; and the place to light up the new flame that will carry us forward on the journey: as without, so within.

We are deeply honoured to be holding space for this very first and monthly gathering of Men around the Fire. A place where men can feel heard, listened, witnessed, supported, questioned and confronted if needed. A place where authenticity is demanded, courage is cultivated, release is permitted, vulnerability is welcome. A place to feel home among fellow Brothers.

In this Circle we will:
- Ground with breathing exercises and shamanic drumming.
- Share what's alive here and now.
- Offer Release Rituals when Deep Emotions are surfacing.
- other practices according to what the Flow will ask of us.

Date: Thursday 12th of February
Time: 20:00 to 22:00, arrival at 19:45
Location: Scouting Phoenix - Christoffel Plantijngracht 5, 1065 DA Amsterdam
Capacity: 8 to 10 men.

What to bring:
- your open heart
- comfortable, warm and waterproof clothes

- journal

For the sake of confidentiality and trust, everything that is shared around the Circle will stay around the Circle. We hold a safe space —emotionally and spiritually— with the aim to foster authenticity and transparence from each and everyone of us.

About your hosts:
Noud van der Bas is an experienced Men Circle's space holder as well as a Breathwork and Ceremonies facilitator. Jonathan Rouah is a Shadow work and Somatic Practitioner as well as a Breathwork and Ceremonies facilitator.

We deeply believe in the social significance and necessity of such gathering. This is a non-profit event and all proceedings will be going to the renting of the place as well as the cost for the wood.

Together we aim to create a safe and strongly held space in which Men can connect deeply to themselves and to fellow Brothers. We live in times where gathering in Community is of utmost importance! Join us around the Fire. We're looking forward to meeting you!
