Welcome to the Impro Dance try-out class. All kinds of movers are welcome

We dance every Tuesday evening in Den Haag, deepening our practice of gentle listening to the body and creative choice making, so we find our place and can play within in a larger whole.

Theme of the winter course is: Time & Presence

How do your inner rhythms and tempo affect the way you relate to the world around you? How does our experience of time influence the attention for the dance that is unfolding? Can one be present for inner movement impulses while collaborating with someone else?

These are some of the questions that inform the upcoming Impro Dance course, which circles around the themes of Time and Presence. These are essential topics for a dance practice that evolves around improvising in the moment, while working with material that comes to us from body awareness and listening.

During the course we will play with and explore elements like rhythm, timing, dynamics and musicality. As always, we invite participants to bring their whole selves to the dance floor. We welcome you with a grounded warming-up at the beginning of class, so we can later collaborate in various settings, exercises and instant-compositions.
