At the intersection of neo-Tantra and conscious kink lies a vibrant playground where polarity is defined not by gender, but by energy, intention, and mutual consent. This meeting point invites both empowerment and surrender—offering a space to explore how playfulness and mindfulness can open doors to creativity, healing, and deeper connection. Through conscious engagement, participants can uncover new ways of expressing themselves, releasing emotions, and relating authentically with others.

Conscious kink embraces explicit polarity in intimate interactions. In everyday lovemaking, the roles of giver and receiver, leader and follower, can blur, sometimes leading to disconnection. Kink reintroduces clarity and excitement through intentional role-play, helping us access parts of ourselves that long to be seen. When held with awareness and consent, these practices become powerful tools for healing trauma, reclaiming strength, and integrating the aspects of dominance and submission that live within us all.

Tantra, by contrast, invites us into full acceptance of the present moment—without judgment. It is a path of surrender to what is, allowing bliss, peace, and joy to arise naturally when we release resistance to life’s flow.

When kink and Tantra merge, they create experiences that blend deep presence, safety, and unconditional acceptance with the thrilling edges of play, intensity, and ecstatic pleasure.

This workshop offers opportunities to:
- Learn the foundational principles of Tantra and BDSM, and explore how they beautifully complement and strengthen one another.
- Experience “yes,” “no,” and the subtle space in between—through your body’s wisdom and intuitive signals.
- Awaken your intuitive powers to deepen your play and energetic sensitivity.
- Integrate the principles of Impeccable Consent into the design of your scenes.
- Discover your body as the most sensual tool for play, learning Tantric ways to use hands and small impact tools (such as paddles or floggers).
- Learn full-body Tantric massage to awaken and circulate energy for intentional or orgasmic experiences. You’ll practice with undies on and receive guidance to continue exploring at home—including optional kinky add-ons.
- Meet a diverse, welcoming community of like-minded explorers of all ages, genders, and experience levels.

WHAT THIS EVENT LOOKS LIKE
This is a two-day deep dive where we will explore a diverse range of explorations. We will build up from the opening circle to introspective meditations, and from there towards connections with others, weaving in kinky aspects. Think of:

- authentic tantra meditation - Wilrieke-style. Think tandava, inner flute, maybe waking up your kundalini too.

- spank 'n tea. A lovely exercise teaching you the wonderful options of a relaxed way of playing with touch, including options to learn spanking and using small floggers- with a cup of tea within reach. If you rather keep it gentle, there are options instead of spanking or flogging not including impact play: stroking, squeezing, etc.

- full body tantric massage, learning about how different bodies can be woken up, and how to spread the yummy energy throughout the body (some say this lifeforce energy can be used to attract things into your life, accelerate the self-healing potential of the body, and other magical things).

- You will practice with undies on, but get all the tips and tricks to also practice naked at home, with demos on what you can do with genitals (you can practice on vulva models/penis models in the workshop). You will also learn optional kinky add-ons!

- play with touching using different elements and sensation play, with your own hands, and some of the yummy feathers and tools I'm bringing.

- plenty of opportunities to practice what you learn, and share with each other, and: when it's not raining and not too cold we may have picnics at the wonderful banks of the Amstel in downtown Amsterdam.

Throughout the weekend, we’ll weave together meditation, breathwork, dance, sharing, touch, consent-based exercises, kink practices involving dominance and submission, and optional impact play. Activities vary between solo, partnered, and group exercises. Partnering is never based on gender—come solo, with a partner, or with friends. You’re free to stay together or explore with others.

The weekend concludes with a short play party or free-flow session, a space to embody your learning in your own way—whether through meditation, massage, cuddling, journaling, or sensual play.

As always, participation is fully optional. You’re invited to engage, witness, or rest at any moment—your presence is your participation.

This is a PINK workshop: sensual touch is welcome, but underwear stays on.

FOR WHO IS THIS WEEKEND?
This workshop is beginner-friendly, although those with (a lot of) experience in Tantra or kink are equally welcome. You don’t need prior experience to enter this workshop, although some experience with workshops in the realms of tantra, consent, cuddling, etc can be helpful. We do ask you to be comfortable enough with nudity and sexy interactions in the room.

All our workshops are queer-centered and straight-friendly. That means, to us, that our workshops embrace diversity beyond the traditional cisgender, straight, slender, able, neurotypical, or young body.

A NOTE ON THE THE TANTRA I TEACH

There are many flavours of tantra. The tantra I teach can be considered ‘eclectic neo-Tantra’: Tantra that is a mixture of different lineages and styles of Tantra, brought to you through the lens of a white, queer, Dutch person raised and socialized as a woman.

There were great masters who brought the original tantra to the Western world. I haven’t learned from these masters directly but from their students (or their students’ students). Some of these lineages: Osho/Bhagwan Rashneesh, Chogyam Rinpoche, Crazy Wisdom, Tao Tantra, and Kashmiri Shaivism.

From these lineages come masters with lots of wisdom, but also lineages that are often not free from abusive practices. That’s why I weave neuroscience and a lot of consent practices into my teachings.

👋 ABOUT WILRIEKE SOPHIA
Wilrieke Sophia (they/them) is a sex & intimacy educator, (TEDx) speaker, advisor & coach for creative makers and scientists, author, and founder of Exploring Deeper and Cuddle Workshops International.

The main focus of their work is empowerment through self-knowledge and understanding, radical self-inclusion, the embodied experiencing of boundaries and desires, and an extensive practice of consent – all based on a foundation of trauma awareness and neuroscience, embedded in experiential spaces based on interpersonal connective practices. They collaborate with artists and scientists, and are a supervisor and mentor.

With their project Red Flags in Workshops, Wilrieke creates free materials on e.g. accountability, abuse, and power dynamics in the intimacy and wellness communities.

SOME PRACTICAL INFORMATION
The week before the event, you will receive an email with detailed information for the day, including the address and what to bring. Make sure you sign up with the email address that you use. Check your spam filter if you did not receive an email five days before the event (if you have unsubscribed from our newsletter, these emails cannot reach you!).

Timings:
Saturday: 10.00h – 18.00h (doors open at 9.30h)
Sunday: 10.00h – 18.00h (doors open at 9.30h)

We will provide snacks, you will provide your own meals (potluck style), and lodging.

ACCESSIBILITY
This workshop space is called De Ruimte - we are in the room DOWNSTAIRS. The specific venue for this weekend is located on the ground floor of a building. There is a height difference to enter the venue through the front door that may cause problems for wheelchairs. There is a backdoor without height differences. There is a bathroom that is not a specific all-access bathroom, but that is fairly spacious and private. There are stairs to reach the kitchen area. There are mattresses, and you can lie down as much as you want.

There is a small fridge. There are no cooking/heating facilities. There are (shared) showers.
