Welcome to the Impro Dance try-out class. All kinds of movers are welcome

We dance every Tuesday evening in Den Haag, deepening our practice of gentle listening to the body and creative choice making, so we find our place and can play within in a larger whole.

“Vital Forms”

In this course we play with the everchanging forms of the dancing body. What makes us move? How does a movement take form? And how does our attention shape what we make? These questions will inform the program of our upcoming course.
The shape of our bones and connective tissue influences how we move. The forms and gestures we bring, affect others and what is made in the space. By allowing our dancing to be fully lived and expressed we can sometimes touch both the tangible and the intangible of the dance that is unfolding.
During the Impro Dance classes we aim to give space for gentle listening to the body and inner world, so we can find our position within a bigger whole. We practice this in our warming-up, during a collaborative exercise or in the making of an instant-composition being seen by others.
