Cariem Kookt houdt zich bezig met het koken van de (Ayur)Vedische keuken (en andere keukens!) in alle vormen en mogelijkheden.
Hoi! Mijn naam is Cariem Edsme en ben 25 jaar oud. Toen ik maar net boven het fornuis uitkwam, tilde ik al nieuwsgierig de deksels van de pannen en potten op om te kijken wat eronder zat. De keuken vond ik toen al een magische plek.
Toen ik op mijn 20ste verjaardag een (Ayur)Vedische kookworkshop van mijn moeder cadeau kreeg werd ik op slag verliefd. De geuren, de kleuren, de kruiden, de smaken, de filosofie… Ik kocht het Ayurvedische kookboek en besloot de komende jaren mij te verdiepen in deze fantastische keuken. Toen afgelopen jaar mijn droom uitkwam en ik koksassistent werd bij de organisatie die op mijn twintigste mijn hart stal, gooide ik het roer om. Ik besloot te stoppen met mijn studie en mij volop te gaan richten op vegetarisch koken. Dit is hier het resultaat van :)
