At Hipsy, we understand how important privacy and data security are for you as an organizer. If you want to sell tickets or use other services at Hipsy, we ask you to fill in certain bank and business details. In this article, we explain how we use this data, who can see it, and how you can determine whether participants have access to your business information.
What does Hipsy do with your bank and business details?
The bank and business details you provide to Hipsy are initially used exclusively by Hipsy itself and are not shared with external parties. The data is not publicly shared and is not visible to participants by default.
Hipsy only needs the bank details to pay out the revenue from your ticket sales. The business details are needed for Hipsy's administration and to comply with legal requirements for invoicing.
Business details in invoicing to your participants
Hipsy also takes care of invoicing your participants. For each order, an invoice is created in the background. Your business details are also included on this invoice.
The invoice is initially not shared with your participants. You can choose to share these invoices with your participants. Through the dashboard, you can manually download or send these invoices. You also have the option to offer participants the ability to independently request their invoice with a link from the ticket confirmation email. This can be set up in the event settings.
Your business details are therefore not shared on the website or with your participants unless you choose to do so through invoicing to your participants.
