We are a collective engaging with different ways of relating to the more-than-human environment in urban areas.
We are a collective engaging with different ways of relating to the more-than-human environment in urban areas. We gather to learn the local plants, to remember the intelligence of our hands and our soil, to remember what community truly is, and to cultivate collective autonomy in our own healing.
Our intentions:
Reclaiming Third Spaces: We claim urban land to practice our crafts freely, sharing tools, ideas, raw materials and genuine grounding.
Hyper-Local Ecology & Land Literacy: We learn to read the living landscape of the urban area, identifying, foraging, and working with local plants. We build land literacy to understand the intelligence of our immediate biome, choosing locally sourced materials over ecologically demanding imports.
De-commodifying Folk Magic: Craft, herbalism, and ritual are practical tools of self-reliance, ecological intimacy, and community defense. We honor hand-to-hand skill sharing and the physical restoration of our relationship with the non-human world. Creative agency belongs to everyone.
Embodied Perception: We cultivate a willingness to engage our own embodied intelligence, the body-centered knowing that directly informs how we experience ourselves and our environment.
