Promotion gives your events extra visibility on Hipsy. They appear in prominent places, such as the homepage, at the top of the feed in the app, and among recommended events.
Because promoted events are visible to a broad audience, we apply a number of requirements. This helps us provide a suitable and reliable selection in the most viewed places on the platform.
What are the requirements?
To be eligible for promotion, the following requirements apply:
- At least 75 orders through Hipsy. Your organization must have received at least 75 orders in total.
- Reviews are enabled on your organization profile. This allows visitors to read about previous participants’ experiences.
- You organize group events. Promotion is intended for events attended by multiple people together. Individual sessions are not eligible.
- Your organization does not focus on events involving plant medicines or sexual themes. These events may appeal to a specific audience, but they are not suitable for the broad visibility provided by promotion.
How does Hipsy assess my organization?
In addition to these requirements, we consider your organization’s reputation and whether your events are suitable for a broad audience. This helps ensure that the events we feature prominently are appropriate for the visitors who encounter them in these places.
Meeting the requirements does not automatically activate promotion. We carefully review each organization. Hipsy reserves the right not to make promotion available if the organization or its offerings do not sufficiently align with these requirements and our assessment.

How do I know whether I can promote an event?
Once promotion has been activated for your organization, you will receive an email. You can then select an event from your dashboard and choose the desired days using the Promote button.
