Contact Improvisation Weekend

Be ready for a day to dance in and outside the studio, inside and outside your body with elements like wind, sand, sea, and other moving bodies.

During this unique Contact Improvisation day we will explore movement where it was born — in gravity, weather, rhythm, and relationship. Contact has always been inspired by falling, rolling, spirals, weight sharing, adaptation, nature characteristics. During this weekend we will reconnect with those origins.

Expect a beautiful balance of deep practice, playful exploration, and open dancing in the amazing studio of CLOUD but also on the beach if the weather allow it. It probably will :-)

Your teachers:

Jérôme Meyer (IG: jerome.a.m)
Founder of Flow Fusion, former dancer with Batsheva Dance Company and Netherlands Dance Theatre, and co-founder of CLOUD/Danslab. Jérôme’s approach blends contemporary dance, improvisation, somatic awareness, and creative tools.
Together we will create a supportive, playful, and inspiring learning space.
What you will experience:

• A Flow Fusion morning practice to awaken the body and nervous system
• A deep Contact Improvisation masterclass exploring weight, listening, and movement intelligence
• CI jam on the beach with the sunset and sound of the sea
• Time to relax, share meals, and connect with other dancers
• A closing circle to integrate the experience

And if you feel brave…
a refreshing dip in the sea.

and a beautiful hidden beach spot in the dunes of The Hague.
Places are limited to keep the space safe and attentive.

This weekend is open to dancers, movers, and curious explorers.

You do not need to be an expert in Contact Improvisation — but some comfort with movement and physical interaction will help you enjoy the experience fuller.
