We are back to nature this year to share our signature Ecstatic Dance & Co-created Arts journey with DJ Leela, Leila, guest musicians and you - it will be a beautiful Sunday afternoon (June 7 from 14:30-16:30 CET) to dance ecstatically and freely, to meditate, to release what's no longer serving you, to make co-created arts with beautiful nature around and to rest together, with an optional community potluck-style picnic on the grass after to share and connect deeper with each other.

You are invited to journey with us at a hidden grass area in Flevopark Amsterdam, with high-quality silent headphones. It's combined with live handpan sound journey and co-created painting to explore our creative power (as an additional way of freely expressing your authenticity, no must-dos). Where we will create a safe, open and connected space. One painting will be donated to a random participant who likes to receive it, to help 'keep' and pass on our collective beauty and power.


WHAT IS ECSTATIC DANCE?

Dance as Medicine. Dance as a way to journey deeper into your being. It is a form of free-style dance that emphasizes free movement and authentic expressions, often accompanied by music and sounds that create different waves of a journey. It is a contemporary practice that has evolved over time, drawing on elements of various cultural and spiritual traditions. "The fastest, cleanest, most joyful way to break out of your own box is by dancing." "If you don't do your dance, who will?"

Exchange: Donation-based (everyone is welcome to join, then donate after via pin or cash).

Note: As we work with trust and love, so please help us keep the trust going together and this kind of donation-based events going, through your integrity and understanding. Please take each donation-based ticket as much a commitment as a paid ticket, to show up. If you decide to cancel the event, please notify us as soon as you can, and hopefully find some other people that might want to join.

Location to be updated a few days before in a Welcome Letter. It's likely in Flevopark on a quiet grass area with enough shades. If it rains, we will likely reschedule to a future date.

Community potluck-style picnic starts from 16:30 after the dance, arts...
Please arrive earlier before 14:30 for the opening (guided exploration of senses and gentle movements)

☼ To bring: your own drinks, water (no alcohol) and any snacks or food you like for yourself and/or to share for the potluck after (optional), and a picnic blanket to sit on (if needed).

☼ Musicians are welcome to join for jamming and co-creation during and afterwards. We had a blast last years with singing, drumming, flute, handpan...so join us!

WHO ARE WE?

DJ Leela and Leila are a team in the conscious dance and arts space. It seems no coincidence that they met at an event where Awareness & Exploration were the main ingredients. Both names are derived from Sanskrit as “In our daily experience, embracing the dance of life with a hint of playfulness, including the waves of bright & dark matters and sunshine & rain…” They feel privileged to weave their creativity and experiences into offering their music and art to you.

They have traveled to 30+ countries, facilitated 60+ Ecstatic Arts and Dance Journeys with different themes, and co-created 100+ pieces of powerful artworks with 2.5K+ participants during Ecstatic Arts & Dance journeys during the last 3 years. Those artworks are uniquely beautiful, touching and priceless with real people and stories behind, and they can never be duplicated. We believe this is the true value of art. To be remembered and passed around as positive vibration.
