LIMINAL: Weekly peer rope Amsterdam - All levels welcome

About this event

Welcome to our Wednesday peer rope event. This evening we open the space for everyone to come and practice in a playful and social environment. Everyone is welcome to practice at their own level, by yourself, with your partner, or with a group.

Because of the nature of this event we have a bit of a stricter door policy than on our Sunday events, which means that we will close the door at 20:00, after which no entry is possible
anymore.

The whole evening the space will be available for more advanced practice, whatever that might mean to you. We hope to facilitate people tying and getting tied in many different styles practicing together, sharing insights and tools to improve everyone's practice. Feel free to nerd about specifics or to approach others for a wider range of rope related topics to discuss. We can support in any way possible.

At the start of the evening we will offer a mini workshop (+/- 45 min) regarding the basics of tying (including basic safety), the aim is for these to be recurring monthly. You can follow these either alone (where you might switch with other participants) or with a partner. In general all these ties are easier to learn if you have someone to try them out on, so it is recommended to come together. However, besides the full body tie you can all do them on yourself.

1st Wed of the month: Single column tie and basic wrappings
2nd Wed of the month: Double column tie and implementing simple frictions
3rd Wed of the month: Simple leg ties
4th Wed of the month: Simple body ties - for this one we need at least two participants to try it out on each-other

All except for the simple body ties can be practiced on yourself.

Here you can read our guidelines, so you can feel into if this fits your vibes:

- Inside the studio clothing is optional. In the hall you should be covered "normally".
- To focus on practicing ropes, no other play than rope bondage is allowed this evening.
- No neck ties in (semi) suspension play without having explicit permission for this from @Kozy_Libs
- If you don’t know, go slow. When trying new things please take reversibility into account.
- Be discreet, mindful and intentional when talking. (If chatter becomes to loud we will make a shhh sound to remind everyone keeping the volume low)
- No intoxication
- Photography is allowed only from people who have given consent to this prior to the picture being taken (also no feet/or other bits)
- No discrimination of any kind (also not of rope styles, or tying capabilities ;) )
- Respect the room, the space, the guidelines, the people and especially yourself.
