About this event
A two day in-person immersive workshop with Stuart, Martijn and Lisa.
We will be exploring the "dirty-old-man"-style of tying. Drawing heavily on the teachings of Haruki Yukimura and his students. We'll be exploring how to seduce with a rope. Taking a deeper look at our inner pervert. We'll talk about shame and the archetype of the "Dirty Old Man". We'll dive deep into finding expression and honesty in our more shadowy sides and just have some good old fashioned dirty fun with each other.
We will take you along with three different perspectives on what we do, how we tie and what effect it has on ourselves and our partners.
❥ This workshop is for:
- beginners+, you should know how to do a single column tie comfortably and hdave good rope handling skills.
- couples or people in pairs.
- all genders, every ‘body’ has a dirty old man hidden somewhere in the shadow.
- you need to be at least 18 years old
- people who understand English

❥ What should you wear?
The minimum is comfortable clothing. Something in which you can move. Jeans and denim is not ideal. Since this is a workshop including sensual tying, it might be interesting for the model to bring something with buttons or layers which can be slowly undressed in stages.
It is best to leave jewellery and bras with underwire at home. Please be mindful of body odour and perfumes and keep this to a minimum.
❥ What should you bring?
- Lunch, or something to eat in the lunchbreak.
- At least three pieces of rope, 7-8 meters long, preferably 4-5mm.

❥ About Stuart:
Stuart approaches shibari as a non-verbal conversation - utilizing rope, presence, intention, and time as the essential components of a language for delving into sensuality, eroticism, and deep emotion.
He began his study of shibari more than a decade ago. He initially studied with various European and Japanese instructors to learn fundamental skills, while exploring diverse styles. Eventually, his practice narrowed, first focusing on Naka-style semenawa (torment rope) and later on aibunawa. Stuart views aibu and seme as distinct yet complementary energetic approaches, and he integrates elements of both styles into his sessions. He has had the honor of studying with six students of Yukimura-sensei.
