Lieve dansers van Ottermeer,

Zondag 23 november wordt een hele speciale verbonden dag. Na vele concerten en zangcirkels van haar te hebben mogen meemaken, waar ik geraakt en vervuld werd tot diep in mijn hart, is het gelukt om nét voordat ze naar het buitenland vertrekt Mia Mayah uit te nodigen voor onze gathering in november. Ons hele team maakte een sprongetje, we gaan samen zingen! En dat doen we niets liever dan met jullie samen.

Ontmoet MIA MAYAH – geboren in Zimbabwe, met Franse en Italiaanse roots.
Ze creëert plekken waar mensen écht samenkomen: in zangcirkels, stemworkshops, klankreizen en vrouwencirkels.
Met haar warme energie nodigt Mia je uit om je stem te laten horen – precies zoals die is. Geen goed of fout, alleen ruimte om te voelen, te ademen en samen te zingen.
Laat je meenemen op een reis van zelfexpressie, ontspanning en verbinding. Ontdek hoe klank kan openen, helen en verbinden – op een heel menselijke, natuurlijke manier.

Na deze heerlijke zang ochtend samen, gaan we knus potlucken rond het vuur. Er is tijd om rond te dwalen langs de paarden en het meer, om de herfst in haar volle glorie te ervaren op het landgoed.

In de middag neemt DJ YARL – oftewel Jarl F. Hector – DJ YARL ons mee op een muzikale reis vol energie, emotie en onverwachte wendingen.

Meer over YARL: Wat ooit begon als gitarist en zanger in een indieband die door heel Nederland tourde, groeide uit tot een brede liefde voor muziek in al haar vormen. Naast zijn werk als componist en muzikaal leider voor films en trailers, brengt Jarl diezelfde veelzijdigheid mee naar de draaitafels.
Zijn stijl is een mix van sferische downtempo, tribale beats, soulvolle techno, GQOM, breakbeats en eigenzinnige house. Geen vaste formule – elke set ontstaat in het moment, afgestemd op het publiek.
DJ YARL draait om verbinding en beleving: muziek die je raakt, in beweging brengt en samen laat genieten – zonder poespas, gewoon puur plezier.

Meenemen:
- Vega gerechtje en bord en bestek
- Eigen drinkbeker
- Optioneel eigen schaapje/dekentje voor extra comfort tijdens zangcirkel

Guidelines ecstatic dance:
- We dansen natural high, zonder alcohol of drugs
- We dansen op blote voeten in connectie met de aarde
- We blijven uit de woorden op de dansvloer om zo dieper te landen in de taal van pure zelfexpressie via lijf en klank.
- Een namaste voor het hart is het teken: dankjewel, ik ga weer mijn eigen weg.

Landgoed & Organisatie:
Ottermeer is een prachtig landgoed met de familie Termorshuizen als hoeders en stichters van deze plek. Je vindt er een permacultuurtuin, paarden, eigen stuk bos, zwemmeertje, knusse huiskamer met haard en een hele fijne danszaal. Hier organiseert Janneke in nauwe samenwerking met Ottermeer en een fijn team aan spaceholders al 6 jaar iedere maand een ecstatic dance gathering. Gericht op verbinding met de aarde, ontwikkeling in je bewustzijn en verdieping in het contact met jezelf en daarmee de ander.

Voel je welkom tijdens onze bijzondere ecstatic dance gathering. Een dag om tijd voor jezelf te nemen, om samen te komen met de leukste mensen, jezelf op te laden en je hart te voeden.

Sunday, November 23rd will be a truly special and connected day.
After experiencing many of her concerts and singing circles — moments that touched and fulfilled me deeply — I’m so happy to share that, just before she leaves the country, we’ve been able to invite MIA MAYAH to join our November gathering. Our whole team did a little happy dance — we’re going to sing together! And there’s nothing we love more than doing that with you.

Meet MIA MAYAH – born in Zimbabwe, with French and Italian roots.
She creates spaces where people can truly come together: in singing circles, voice workshops, sound journeys, and women’s circles.

With her warm and open presence, Mia invites you to express your voice – just as it is. There’s no right or wrong, only space to breathe, feel, and sing together.
Let yourself be guided on a journey of self-expression, relaxation, and connection. Discover how sound can open, heal, and bring people closer – in a simple and natural way.

After this beautiful morning of singing together, we’ll share a cozy potluck around the fire. There’s time to wander among the horses and along the lake, and to soak in the full glory of autumn on the land.

In the afternoon, DJ YARL – also known as Jarl F. Hector – will take us on a musical journey filled with energy, emotion, and unexpected turns.

About YARL: What began as a guitarist and singer in an indie band touring the Netherlands grew into a broad love for music in all its forms. Alongside his work as a composer and musical director for films and trailers, Jarl brings that same versatility to the decks.
His style blends atmospheric downtempo, tribal beats, soulful techno, GQOM, breakbeats, and distinctive house. There’s no fixed formula – every set unfolds in the moment, attuned to the crowd.
For DJ YARL, it’s all about connection and experience: music that moves you, brings people together, and creates pure joy – without pretense, just real pleasure.

Ecstatic Dance Guidelines:
We dance natural high – without alcohol or drugs
We dance barefoot, in connection with the earth
We stay in silence on the dance floor to deepen the experience and express ourselves through movement and sound
A gentle namaste gesture is our way to say: thank you, I’m moving on my own again

About Ottermeer & the Organization
Ottermeer is a beautiful estate cared for by the Termorshuizen family, who founded and lovingly tend this land. You’ll find a permaculture garden, horses, a private forest, a swimming lake, a cozy living room with a fireplace, and a wonderful dance hall.

For six years now, Janneke, in close collaboration with Ottermeer and a dedicated team of spaceholders, has been organizing monthly Ecstatic Dance Gatherings here — events that focus on connection with the earth, conscious growth, and deepening the relationship with yourself and others.
